Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland before the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Family Life

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

My son advised me to get Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's home record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
