Nico O’Reilly Another confident performance by the youngster after his debut against Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous backheel over their defense. His position is his to lose at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. Slightly careless on the ball but his inswinging corners were a threat. An effective pace-controller available to the manager to have against sides that sit back. Booked after a reckless foul. Six

Declan Rice Deliveries from dead balls and set-plays created chances. Was given license to roam in left midfield yet found himself offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Awarded a deserved substitution on the hour mark. Six

The star midfielder Played in a high position out wide and contributed with defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance but dragged a shot over. Substituted in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. Seven

The winger Had England’s clearest opportunity of the first half, his strike excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. As Quansah hanging back, he was forced to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries into the box were inconsistent. Taken off late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and the second an excellent header following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play from the left. Had a decent opportunity following a pass by Bellingham however the keeper kept it out. His replacement had a greater effect in his place. 5/10
